New Year's Resolutions for 2011

It's that time of the year again. Time to think of things I want to achieve in 2011.... Funny, just the other day I read about "how to write New Year's Resolutions that you are able to keep". Now I beg to differ. Yes, some resolutions should be doable but I do think, you should put some things you might or might not be able to achieve. Maybe you are just not able to achieve them the coming year... maybe you will never be able to achieve them. Nevertheless I believe in putting some dreams and wishes into the resolutions just to make it more interesting and to keep you going. 


I recommend to all of you to write your N Y R's down and keep them safe. Have a look every now and then... or wait till the end of the year and look at them. It's rather interesting how you're life has moved forward from the moment you wrote them to the moment a year later when you read them. 


I had rather a bit of a laugh today when I read my 2010 resolutions. ;) 


Alright, shall we get started? (and yes.. it makes sense to write them down before the end of the year... why not start NOW? Have a "head start" ;) Come on, join me...)


So here are my 2011 Resolutions 

• As every year, trying to loose some of that extra weight

• Still hoping for my breast and hallux valgus OP (well at least one of the two)

• Running a Marathon (Yes I registered for April 8, 2011 Tel Aviv)

• Swimming across the Kineret (21K OW in October)

• Renovating my house 

• Getting a loan from the bank to renovate the house (lol)

• Get engaged to a decent man who loves me

• Put my Doberman on diet

• Get click pedals and shoes for my lovely Dolce

• Swim, Bike and Run more

• Write a book with my great friend G2 (yes we already started.. so stay tuned)

• Working on my "Trust Issues" with my shrink (wonder how that works out at the end)

• Travel around, visiting some great friends (Europe, South Africa, USA)

• Sell the house (wonder how many more years that will make my NYR's)

• Suing my ex lover who still owes me money and avoids talking to me for over a year already.... I am going to get ya!!!

• Finding either a better paid job or a second job so I'm able to have it easier paying the bills and "live" a little

• Making an effort working things out with a certain person

• Swim more with my dogs

• Join a Tri Club

• Try to see things clearer (as for what they are and not for what I want them to be!!! that only breaks my heart!!!) 

I guess that will do.... some are easy to accomplish some won't happen but for me personally it's important to have some dreams and wishes written down and look at them to get going.

Alright... being busy as usual my blog had to suffer... sorry sorry sorry.... 

What shall I tell you, the end of the year is near and I am still sure about my plans on leaving Israel (surer than ever lol) 

Last week, winter has finally taken over Israel too and yes.. I HATE RAIN.... yikes... yuck... baaahhh... buuhhuuu... etc.

Other than being busy at work (yes, I finally feel like I married my office), I went swimming a lot.. well I try to go 3 times a week... the dogs think that I finally lost it for good.. after all, who wants to get wet and even PAY for that... lol... 

Eating Sufganiot for (hopefully) the last time as an "in Israel living Israeli".... I enjoy every bite of it and of course we light the Hanukkah Candles every night.. say the blessings and the zoo enjoys some "extra" cookies and stuff.. :) all in all, we are happy. 

Today, I am not going to the pool.. yes I know.. shocking.. but I need to get to the speedo store.. and buy some goggles.. mine hurt me when I wear my beloved MP3.. so I have to go and check out some goggles.. :) 

Tonight I guess, I make my winter soup.. chinese kinda .... love it and it has 23049283098 calories each sip.. rofls... and guess what.. YES .. I'll enjoy every sip of it..

Well.. it's not "New Year 2009".. but it's the Jewish New Year.. which means.. we are sooo ahead of you guys.. rofls.. ;)


Alright.... it's not been a full year when I last made a list with what I want to achieve in 2008... sadly.. I hardly managed a thing.....

So.. lets look back...

My plans for 2008:

• 
  Go to the wedding of my good old friend Kyung Ah in Seattle.. yay.. can't wait.. and even if I have to swim… to make it… I find a way.. I promise

Sadly I am not able to go... Kyung Ah is getting married this weekend... actually in 2 days... Girl.. I am sooooooooooooooooooooo happy for you..... and I am there... even if only in my thoughts... but I love you and I am so happy for you and I will walk around with a big smile that day.. knowing.. that after all.. there might be someone our there who is just right for me too.. ;)

• 
  Finally meeting my smart blonde Lawyer from NYC in person (could he be Mr. Right???)

Well.. never met him... we might meet once I move to the US.. but is he Mr. Right? no! Can he become a real good friend? Absolutely!:)

• 
  Run the New York City Marathon (yes.. this year… I will.. hopefully)

Has to wait another year.... but then.. I might be too busy with the Ironman training... yes... I am going to try once more... I want to fulfill at least THIS dream of mine.. and run in Hawaii..... and even if it is the last thing I do.. and they have to scrap me off the street.... rofls..

• 
  Go to NYC to find the perfect pair of shoes and the perfect dress to go with and then "strut" to the Premiere of SatC the Movie

Ok, it wasn't NY and it wasn't the super perfect outfit.. but.. the most sexy shoes.. hahaha Prada and all.. and.. we gals just had fun.... Talhy and Gali out .. hahaha.. two blondes in the city.. oho...

• 
  Apply to F.I.T.

That will have to wait too... if it ever happens... looking into design schools right now at B'more and Sarasota....

• 
  Lose another 20 pounds

Trying... honestly.. trying..... I wanna be around 110 lbs when I move next year... lets see..

Alright... time for new goals for 5769:

• Swimming, running and biking... aka.. getting in shape for some "smaller" Triathlons .. and then the big ones...
• Keeping my weight (or have a bit less than now)
• Flying to the US to check where I will move at the end...
• Selling my house in Yaffo for a goooooooooood price ;)
• Getting my Papers together for the E-2 Visa
• Opening my own Shop.... what it will be.. we shall see... I'll keep you posted
• Starting over once again..... hey.. they say 3 is the charm.. so lets see... if this is true...

So you see.... this year... will be a busy .... and hopefully fun year... of course I will miss my old job.. the people I work with... especially my great Boss Barbara :) But.. if not now.. when... ?? right??? It's the time for something new.. we ain't getting any younger ladies.... these are the years...

Oh and about finding Mr. Right..... I put that on "pause"..... I don't believe in Mr. Right any longer.... no such thing (just like Soulmates... they might exist.. but it usually doesn't work out with them, only because the soul is "a mate" doesn't make the rest of the person a good "mate" too)... (don't think I am bitter)... no.. not at all... I do believe .. there is a guy out there.. who is just right for me... but he is not going to be "Mr. Right".. but he might become "Mr. Muus" someday... lol.... and THAT ... is soooooooooooo much better ;)

Yes friends... long time since I updated my blog.. shame on me... but I had no internet.. and then no power to write...

But now.. at the end of the year I feel that I owe it to my Blog... a little review of 2007.

I don't even remember how my year started to be fully honest, all I do remember is.. that in February I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life. I answered an Ad on CL … I didn't even plan to, but I just thought it would be funny. The guy, lets call him "Mr. X." put an ad to "find his besherte"… gosh I was an Idiot… well my close friends know the story.. and there is no need to get into details here… anyways.. I guess in 2007 I got not only older but finally also a little wiser (at least when it comes to men).

I had two break-ins in just 3 weeks and they dog-napped Tasha… but I got her back after 10 days of going crazy. As much as my dogs make me mad.. I would not want to miss them…. I do love them very much.. after all, they are all I have.

At the end of the year I even found a nice job at a big law firm. I love the view and the people are great and my boss is fun to work with.
During the last few months (well actually from Summer till Fall), I lost over 50 pounds… and I still keep it… yes.. very proud.. that my clothes from Miami fit again… haha.

A friend of mine got married… and divorced in less than 6 months (yeah that was fast… and I did give her about 6 months…) (yup.. I am an "oracle"… rofl). Another couple is expecting twins.. yeah… can't wait to see them… two blonde boys… (well lets hope for the mom they will be blonde.. lol) but another couple will be leaving me and Israel for good next spring.. *snief snief*…

And I lost someone I really cared for. I messed it up badly and I did hurt him quite a bit. So I want to say again, how sorry I am about it all... (if he ever comes across this blog, he will know.. )
